Supporting the Dallaglio Flintoff Cycle Slam 2012 is a very exciting opportunity for Virgin Media and we are completely behind the whole team of riders to help Lawrence and Freddie reach their fundraising target. We’re delighted to be able to bring some rewards to our staff and customers by giving them the chance to join the team and get involved with raising money for some amazing British charities.
At its heart Virgin has always believed in doing things differently and cycling from Athens to London is certainly unique example of British endeavours at its best. We’ll be working with Green Room Sports to develop innovative ways of raising awareness and just as importantly, donations for this epic challenge through TV, the web and mobile. We are equally delighted that as well as the Dallaglio Foundation and Flintoff Foundation, Virgin Unite the non-profit foundation of the Virgin Group will benefit directly to help in its mission of uniting people to tackle tough social and environmental problems in an entrepreneurial way.

We are really excited to be supporting the Cycle Slam for a second year running. The ride itself, though challenging, is such fun, and raises money for charities that are really making a difference to people’s lives. From January, we will be putting the Cycle Slam on the menu in every PizzaExpress across the country, giving the charity 25p from every American Hot pizza sold. And in our spare time, Team PizzaExpress – made up of waiters, pizza chefs, head office managers and CEOs – are dusting down their lycras and getting ready to take part in the ride of their lives, all in the name of charity. Help us raise as much money as possible for this year’s Cycle Slam, and eat the American Hot when you next dine out at PizzaExpress (from January).
